New York City’s favorite rosé picnic and music festival returns
Following the runaway success of Pinknic’s 2016 debut, New York City’s largest rosé picnic and music festival returns to Governors Island this June for a two-day summer fête. Like our inaugural party, 2017’s Pinknic is going to be full to the brim with delectable food, lively entertainment, and, of course, everyone’s favorite pink drink. But that’s not all. This year, we’ve got a few more tricks up our sleeve.
Saturday and Sunday, over 12,000 guests all dressed in pink and white, will be invited to take a seat on one of the thousands of rosé-colored, designer-made picnic blankets. From noon till sunset, Governors Island will be transformed into a sea of pink, the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan skyline offering the perfect backdrop for this much-anticipated affair.
We’ll be pouring exclusively rosé wine from Provence, rosé Champagne and delicious frosé cocktails! We’ve teamed up with celebrity chef Chris Santos once more, who will be crafting some undeniably delicious Pinknic Baskets, available for preorder on our website starting March 5. Selections will be available for easy pickup the day of the event. This year, we’re introducing a food court, where guests can order dishes from Santos’ own NYC restaurants --Vandal, Beauty & Essex, Stanton Social -- as well as ice cream, crêpes, pop corn, cotton candy and more.
Last year set the bar when it came to live entertainment, and this time around there will be plenty of exciting live performances from bands and DJs--plus gravity-defying acrobats, stilt walkers, jugglers, and more. Grab a seat on the Pinknic Ferris Wheel and watch all the fun from above. As a bonus, we’re introducing a new premium lounge, Les Cabines & Pool Lounge, where guests can grab a drink, relax on beach chairs, and cool off in our pool.
Pinknic is quickly becoming a New York City summer tradition. We hope you’ll join us this year.
