Star Wars. Cosplay. Big Bang Theory. Comic Con. It seems like nerds
are everywhere these days -- and on the forefront of culture and
fashion. Now, Lefty Lucy will showcase the sexy side of nerds at the
3rd International NERDLESQUE FESTIVAL. For three days, from April 28th
through April 30th, burlesque performers from all over the world will
unite in New York City to celebrate nerd chic. The first two festivals
were wildly popular, playing to packed houses and featuring acts
paying homage to Star Trek, Hellraiser, Marvel Comics, Disney,
Speedracer, Pac Man, Harry Potter, The Muppets, Wonder Woman, Pokemon,
Tron, Jurassic Park and even the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man from

This weekend by and for dweebs, dorks, geeks, freaks and their
admirers features two main events as well as classes, parties, a peer
review session, and more. The full schedule is available at The lineup for the two main shows at
Webster Hall, which includes performers from 15 U.S. states and 3
countries, is as follows:

Friday, April 28 at 7:30pm: The Grand Premiere
Hosted by Bastard Keith (New York, NY), the evening will be headlined
by Jo "Boobs" Weldon (New York, NY) with featured performer the
Reigning Queen of Burlesque Poison Ivory (New York, NY). The lineup
includes Caramel Knowledge (Hollywood, CA), Cherie Sweetbottom
(Washington, DC), Dale Stones with Danny Drake (Boston, MA), Dizzy
Lizzy Delicious (Perth, Australia), Elsa Riot (Boston, MA), Florence
Rosé (Gainseville, FL), Jacqueline Boxx (Baltimore, MD), Loretta Jean
(Toronto, Canada), Lune Noir (New Orleans, LA). Maggie McMuffin

Saturday, April 29 at 7:30pm: The Big Finish
Hosted by Nasty Canasta (New York, NY), the evening will be headlined
by The Shanghai Pearl (Seattle, WA) with featured performer Red Rum
(Chicago, IL), plus a very special performance from Burlesque Hall of
Fame legend Pillow (Alaska). Lineup includes Al Lykya (Seattle, WA),
Holly Ween (Somerville, NJ), Icon O'Clast  (Cambridge, MA), Imogen
Quest (Ontario, Canada), Katie James (Tampa, FL), Liberty Rose
(Philadelphia, PA), Lucky Charming (Boston, MA), Marie Merlot
(Nashville, TN), Mary Cyn (New York, NY), Minnie d'Moocha (Edgewater,
NJ), Nyx Nocturne (New York, NY), Shirley Blazen (Chicago, IL), Taylor

THE NERDLESQUE FESTIVAL runs April 28 & 29 at Webster Hall, located at
125 East 11th Street in the East Village. Doors open at 7pm and the
shows are at 7:30pm. Open to ages 18 and up. General admission is $25
